February General Meeting & Luncheon Economic Outlook for San Diego County
Marney Cox, Chief Economist for the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), will give a presentation on the economic outlook for San Diego County in 2012. Some of the highlights will include:
-State of the Recovery on the National and Local levels -Key Growth Trends -Attempts to Stimulate Growth, Have They Worked? -Local Labor Market Concerns, and much more!
Speaker Biography:
Mr. Cox specializes in regional economies and works with a team of professionals at SANDAG in the areas of growth forecasting; economic development; and transportation infrastructure financing.
Outside SANDAG Mr. Cox participates in state-wide discussions on proposed public policy actions that influence the long-term competitiveness of the local and state economies and is a frequent commentator to the news media on economic issues. Mr. Cox has been with SANDAG since 1979 and holds a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Economics from San Diego State University.
